The following message has just been posted to my facebook & twitter:

Starting today I am going 30 days without sending ANY trash to a landfill to help me learn where I can recycle, compost, reuse and donate more! Join me in this effort to be more environmentally conscious.

This afternoon I will empty my trash cans into our "big green monster" (the trash can provided by the city). Only what is in the big green monster today will go to to the curb to be taken away this week. All other waste will be composted, recycled or reused. If it must go to a landfill, it will sit in the big green monster from the day after this trash day on until the month is out.

I'm interested to see how little garbage I can generate!
